Have you ever wondered where certain persons went ,or how you could find them?
Well I have had the opportunity to locate a nephew ,and I have narrowed down to ladies one of whom is my half sister. But not knowing which one it is , is knawing at me . There is a part of me wanting to know her, and share with her. I have not given up. So that is what everyone of you should do, never give up.
Now I am trying to track down some children who's parents have separated. These children will never be able to trace their family lines unless we connect because their father changed his name and the children are all under his new surname. These children all have the same father but different mothers.
They could be in Ontario or out in Western Canada.
The first children were born to a Cathy Spencer: I believe it is Spencer,
their names would be Bradford and Robert Law, they are twins born 1977, Natasha and Sabrina Lynn Law.
Next Mother is Bev last name unknow, children are Amanda born 1982, Nathan -Christopher and Jessica Law.
So if anyone knows these children or come across them somewhere please let me know. As I said their surname Law stops there and I feel it is important for them to be able to know who they are.

Hi there, I'm a new reader.
I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction on locating an ancestor of mine. My family's been trying to find out more about him for years, but every trail goes cold.
His name was James Celestine Renaud. He was my great-grandmother's father and the second husband of my great-great-grandmother.
The only thing I know about his birth is that he was born in Canada sometime between 1870 and 1890. And according to my great-great gran, he was "French Canadian".
I know how/when/where he died. He died in Minnesota in 1919/1920. He was a breakman on a train and was thrown off.
That's all we know. And, like I said, we've been trying to find him for years now, but nothing has turned up.
hello, I have did a brief search and I have sent for information on his Naturalization Records in Minnesota, I asked if they would have his parents and location of birth, will see what they reply. found him in 1920 census with wife Ida and three stepchildren and one daughter. I figure he married Ida around 1912. His death records also may contain the names of his parents or place of birth. According to his WW1 Draft Card he was born Dec 11 1885 in Canada.

Aline,
Thank you so much for the information!
Ida Ellen Thompson (his wife) was my great-great-grandmother. James' stepchildren were from her first marriage to a Swedish man named Higgison. The child of James and Ida on record is either Rose, who died young, or else my great-grandmother, Ida Ellen Renaud (who's name was later changed to Cole when her mother remarried).
That's really all the additional information I know. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me!

Carrie, I also found on the census record that he immigrated to the USA in 1901. And in the 1920 census it was Ida listed as their daughter she was according to the census born around 1916. Will keep looking .
Aline
Ida was definitely born in 1916. By 1920, the youngest daughter, Rose, had most likely died.
Since he was on the 1920 census, would you reckon he died in 1920 or 1921? I know it had to be one of those years, because my great-grandma said she was about four when it happened.
Aline, thank you so very much for your continued search!
-Carrie
Carrie, I am trying to see what I can find, he could have died later in the year or the following one.
I also have posted your info in my acadianrootsclub genealogy group and on a quebec list I belong too, will see if they find something.
Aline

Carrie, I found more info for you, I wrote to the Genealogy Recorder and got this reply today.
James C Renaud
James was born 11 December 1885 in Canada. His father was John Renaud, born Canada. Mother unknown. He was a railroad brakeman for the D.W. & P. Rwy. He died in a railroad accident from Pulmonary Hemorrhage, Shock and numerous fractures. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. Informant was his wife Ida.
This comes from Mark a volunteer genealogist.
Another clue, we now know his father was John Renaud born in Canada.
Aline
Aline, I cannot thank you enough for your help. You've really helped my family so much.
John Renaud is definitely a big clue right there.
Carrie you are very welcome, I do hope that the little bit of info I found for you will make you go much much further with your research.
