TODAY IS NOW, THE FUTURE IS TOMORROW, BUT THE PAST WILL NEVER BE AGAIN, SO I WOULD LIKE STRESS HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO GRAB AS MUCH OF TODAY AS POSSIBLE , MEANING WE ALL HAVE MEMORIES, AND MANY WE WOULD LIKE TO SHARE . YEARS FROM NOW OUR DECENDANTS MAY WONDER ABOUT US, WHAT WE LIKED, WHERE WE LIVED, WHAT WE DID FOR FUN AND SO ON. SO IN MY CASE I HAVE JOTTED STORIES ALONG WITH MY GENEALOGY DATA.FOR INSTANCE MY MOTHER IS 88 YEARS OLD, SHE HAS A VERY GOOD MEMORY AND WHEN I STARTED MY GENEALOGY, SHE WOULD TELL ME STORIES, AND I BEGAN LISTENING TO HER EVERY WORDS , THEN AS SOON AS WE HUNG UP THE PHONE, I WOULD JOT HER LITTLE TIDBITS. FOR INSTANCE
SHE TOLD ME THAT WHEN HER AND DAD GOT MARRIED , SHE WAS VERY YOUNG AND I MEAN VERY YOUNG, AND FOR HER HONEYMOON, HER UNCLE LOANED HER AND DAD HIS LOG CABIN. THE LOG CABIN WAS NESTLED IN SOME TREES NEAR A STREAM, VERY NICE AND COSY. WELL MOM AND DAD HAD JUST SETTLED DOWN FOR THE NIGHT AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY HEARD SOMETHING OUTSIDE, NOISES , VOICES, AND THE NOISE AND VOICES GOT LOUDER AND LOUDER. IT WAS THEIR FRIENDS , SOME WERE YELLING, SOME WERE RINGING COW BELLS, SOME WERE BANGING POTS AND PANS, OTHERS HITTING ON THE DOOR. I SAID TO MOM WHAT DID YOU AND DAD DO THEN? SHE REPLIED WE HAD TO LET THEM IN. I SAID WHY? SHE REPLIED , IF WE HAD NOT LET THEM IN THEY WOULD HAVE CONTINUED ALL NIGHT LONG. MOM SAID IT IS CALLED A CHEVARY AND IT HAPPENED EVERY TIME SOMEONE WOULD GET MARRIED. SO THIS IS SOMETHING THAT I DID NOT KNOW, AND ONE DAY MY GRANDCHILDREN WILL READ MY BOOK, AND REMEMBER THE STORIES TO PASS ON TO THEIR GRANDCHILDREN.
SO TALK TO YOUR GRANDPARENTS , PARENTS, AUNTS, UNCLES , WRITE IT DOWN , ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS. REMEMBER WHEN THEY ARE GONE, IT WILL BE TOO LATE.
HAVE A GREAT DAY
